Thread starter Harlaquin Start date Jun 10, Harlaquin Senior Member. Friend of mine who was 12th on list got the call for it because none of the other 11 wanted white. He didnt want it either but took it because figured wouldnt get another chance msrp.

I personally dont like the color on the car either its just washed out and just another boring white car. My girlfriend who was dead set on white changed her mind after seeing it.

Met another guy with a white one similar story got his because dealer couldnt find anyone on list to buy it. All wanted other colors. I personally think it was marketing. At first white was hyped and used in all the ads. So everyone wanted that. Then everyone wanted it because everyone else wanted it and it snowballed. If honda had used the blue in all marketing then everyone would have wanted that color.

Just look around there is so many white cars. And yes I know heritage blah blah. No, your friends are broken To each their own. Aegean Blue, nah, even though I'm Greek. I don't think that color will hold up well over time, like Electron Blue did. That said, I have Midori hatch in my garage that I love the color of dearly and get a LOT of comments on , so take that with a grain of salt. Red paint fades quickly and severely; my '07 Si which was garage kept before I got it has spots of fading starting to show.

As much as I love red cars, I'd have to pass because I only have one garage spot for a car. Polished Metal is a great color. I really love it but, like the Aegean Blue, I think the flake is too big.

Honda has always made their flake too big, though their pearls have always been great. If I had not choice, I'd be happy with it but its not for me. Crystal Black is probably the best color on the car. It looks very serious, manages makes the black wheels not look dumb, and works best with the red badging and pinstripes. It's a very serious color, looks very mature, and the whole car takes on a totally different vibe, aggressive but somehow subtle. The slight differences between the black paint and the black trims really brings out the textural depth of the car it looks just incredible.

I could have brought a black one home a couple weeks ago instead of waiting a couple weeks more, but in the end its not what I wanted. Heritage blah blah is exactly it. I've always wanted a championship white Type R. Since the first iteration on the Civic, through the Integra, and now. One of those can be whatever damned color under the sun, but the other, to me, must absolutely be white.

It will be kind of hard for me not to put a big, red, vinyl roundel on the hood. I think it's great that your friends are getting whatever colors they want. I wish there were Sonic Gray ones on the roads here, that color is stellar too.

We all have our opinions and wants, and I am a little too serious about my cars and am not very imaginative. But in a month or so I'll have everything little Will could have even imagined to dream of. So my love affair of Championship White will continue. White on black is so clean looking. Plus I have a 98 ITR in storage. PMM would have been my second choice though.

CW itself is an awsome color, and its a color that doesnt stand out. I really dont want the attention, and so far it is working. White is just ehh The PMM is dark and compliments the black trim without contrast and is shiney as hell and stands out. Some of the white car owners said it doesnt stand out and is why they like it.. I've wanted to get back into white car ever since I left my taffeta white 6th gen Accord for a red CR-Z.

Since a week after leaving the dealer I regretted not getting the CR-Z in white. I absolutely love the way the black wheels and trim go with the CW paint on the R. I know previous CW Honda products had one-stage paint, and the paint codes are the same except for a hyphen, making it difficult to confirm just from that. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks for that. That is definitely evidence towards it being two stage. It is not a pearl, metallic, or tricoat. TypeRNY said:. It is two stage. I know because mine had to have some work done after being backed into, and the insurance repairs called for two stage paint work to be completed.

Last edited: Jul 29, I just noticed something else - on the dealer bill of sale I don't have the car yet it says the color is "NH-0" which suggests it has no clear, so now I'm really confused haha.

Maybe it's a typo - that is the issue with the only difference being a hyphen though NH0 has normal clear coat. Sure is difficult to find out for sure. I called Honda and they didn't really know, the best they could do was say that by the looks of the paint touch-up kits, it was in fact single stage.

One side is the touch up pen the other side is a clear coat. You apply the base, let it dry, then apply the clear. I guess my bill of sale is wrong then as it has the code for single stage.
